"Jim & I met the founder of Sturgis Builders in 1988 when he helped us take three walls down in the existing kitchen of the classic cape cod home we had just bought. John Sturgis, Sr assigned his son, the current President of Sturgis Builders, to be our foreman on the job which also called for a new sun porch, bookshelves, etc. He was superb. Next, Sturgis Builders helped us with a second home in Wilmington in 1997 that needed a new kitchen, bookshelves, and bath upgrades. We have just recently finished a major renovation on our third home with Sturgis Builders outside of Kennett Square. We would have been lost without the expertise and help as this home needed everything from a new roof to new windows, to a new kitchen & master suite. This older home required new wiring, heating system/AC completely redone, new plumbing, and an all around and full stone rear patio install. The several built-ins done by Sturgis' expert cabinet maker added charm and a graceful finishing touch. We would never have bought and attempted to renovate this property without knowing that John, his great foreman's, and staff would be there with us all the way."
